Sounds like it's time for a replacement.
There are several threads discussing suitable relays and where to get them - a search should turn them up.

    Hope this helps!

      Hey Moose,
I am right with you. I was about to buy some of these:

but then you had to write about Omron production. Any suggestions for a 5v relay?

I thought I was saying something _good_ about Omron - getting the handicapped working and independent.

I think you need the UltraSensitive model - it only wants 30mA to operate.

Switch works but now some noise

This relay was taken out for awhile replaced by a simple DPDT panel switch so I could work on getting both channels sounding perfect. The two channels were finished and I decided to figure out the dang problem with the relay switching. It isnt that hard to do but when you wire things wrong threads like this are what you get. Anyway, the panel switch to the footswitch jack was wrong as well as the relay(I had the NO and NC pins totally wrong). I thought the relay switched like the DPDT panel switch. So the switching works but......
now I have a some noise on the lead channel. The clean sounds fine even with the MV is dimed. The only thing I can think of is the footswitch jack being grounded to the chassis and not keeping the circuit totally to itself. The noise itself sounds like putting your TV real close to your exposed hi gain amp.

Is there a center tap on the 6.3 volt winding or are you using an artificial center tap (two 100 ohm resistors)? These things will interfere with the relay supply if you are not careful. Have you kept any grounds on the signal contacts separate from the relay switching grounds?

I am using an elevated center tap. I now know for a fact that the footswitch ground is the problem because I unhooked the jack and rewired for using the panel switch and she is dead quiet again. I dont want to use a stereo jack so how do I isolate a switchcraft 2conductor switched jack? Can I use a Cliff jack?

To test it, just remove the jack from the chasis, or wrap the threads and all mating metal surfaces in electrical tape. If it works, Hoffman Amps (an others including Mouser) sell shouldered isolation washers for jacks. I'd give you a link, but I'm having issues pulling up the pages.

Cliff jack would work or Hoffman sells the washers to insulate the jack from the chassis if the panel isn't too think.
