I built a BF Princeton Reverb clone using the ab1270 schematic for reference and at this point I have all the bugs out, everything works, except when I try to turn "off" the tremelo. I don't have an output jack to use with a footswitch so I'm using a switch until parts arrive.
According to the schematic there's a point where two .01u caps and a 1M resistor meet that gets switched to ground to stop the tremelo effect. When I switch it to ground I get a motorboating sound. I've gone over the circuit again and everything looks like it's in the right place. The tremelo is working as intended, but it would be nice to be able to turn it off as it still works slightly with the intensity turned all the way down, which I think is normal for this circuit.
Can anyone give some advice on how to turn off the tremelo without the motorboating?
