pin 8 goes to a 500 ohm 5w resistor. There is one for each tube.

No disrespect intended but on a 2nd glance at your pic, your wiring in that pic looks a bit clumpy, especially between the 2 x 6V6 sockets, and you could be getting unwanted coupling causing oscillation from that. Maybe try tidying it up a bit. You ideally need to keep the heater pairs twisted together and also well-separated (by an inch or so) from the other wires

So I took the amp to a tech and had him go through it for me. Turns out I bought 68 ohm resistors instead of 68k resistors. He changed a few simple parts and everything works great. Thanks again though for all the help.

It's always a good idea to check the value of resistors and caps before you solder them in place. I check with a multimeter and it only takes me a few seconds. Sometimes the parts pickers select the wrong value and it's better to catch 'em early on.

Hey all! Just wanted to say thanks again. I have been playing the amp for several months now and love it. Trying the various tube combinations that are possible with the two stroke is pretty fun and I would definitely recommended it to anyone interested in building it. Thanks again to all the veteran builders and techs for generously sharing their time and knowledge with this community!
