    I run JJ 6v6's at 480v on the plates, biased at 21ma with a modified Traynor I use.

      Even with those lower than average voltages, you wouldn't get the "low output, distorted" problem you are having.

      Sounds like was said above, your OT is shorted to ground. It happened to me once when I mistakenly wired the speaker jack backwards. Check the polarity and swap.

        With 275v on the power tubes the amp will distort way before it should and clean output will be greatly reduced.
