Checking voltages

This is my ferst post so please forgive me if this has been gone over, but I could not find it in a search.

I've just finished assembly of a JCM800 build from scratch, I know I made a few lead dress errors but al in all the build went according to plan. My question is weather I need to have
A) Tubes in the mp to check voltages at the socket pins
B) do I need to have my cabinet plugged in as a load when checking these voltages

Any help would be great

Yes. But only after you have powered it up without tubes. First power it up without tubes and if it doesn't blow any fuses check that you have HV on the correct pins and bias voltage. etc. Then plug in your tubes for additional testing. Actual plate volts, actual bias, etc.

B) do I need to have my cabinet plugged in as a load when checking these voltage.

Yep. That or a dummy load.
