New build completed. Checked all connections and solder joints. Turned on, on stand by, no tubes in, took reading at pin 5 on power tube socket expecting the -30 to -60 neg DCV and instead I get -346v on one and -.46v on the other. What the ?

There shouldn't be any voltage at all on pin 5 of the 6v6 sockets in a 5e3. Unless you've added a fixed bias supply? How about a schem? We can't know anything looking at a 5e3 schem because it's cathode biased."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

With no tubes in there should be nothing connected to pins 5 the bias tap. That should certainly narrow the search. There must be a mistake in the wiring. Wire color codes are usually accurate. But not always."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

Please can we have a list of all dc voltages at power tubes & preamp tubes, plus good pics of tube socket wiring? AC heater voltages to.
If you had built the amp to the schematic, then it would work, therefore there must be a difference between what you have and what the schem shows...so we need to see the amp itself.
