Hey guys, i just finished another bad cat hot cat build and i have the amp wired for switchable ssand tube rectification. when switched in ss mode the bias voltage for the el34]s is =26v and when in tube rec the voltage is 17.6 v. Does the voltage vary this much from ss to tube rectifcation? The voltage on the plates in tube mode is 348v and the cathode reads 21v if i have my calculations right then I=21/390=.054 so .079x 327 (390-21)= 17.6v.
In solid state mode I have I=26/390=.066 so .066x402 (428-2600=26.7. So is solid state mode suppose to give me a higher voltage and bias reading as opposed to the tube rectification?
