amp pop sound heard when turning tremolo off

I built a marshall copy 1974x 18wat kit. When using the foot switch to turnoff the tremolo I hear a rather load pop coming from the speaker. When i turn the volume down the pop sound goes down as well. The pop sound is only heard on the tremolo channel which also has a wavering sound.

Instead of going straight from the grid of the oscillator triode (the one with all the caps) try putting a resistor of, like 100k between the grid and the footswitch.
