  • high gain kit

    Hi can anyone recomend any high gain valve amp kits (heads only)

    when i say high gain i mean Peavey 6505, Mesa boogie dual rectifier, Engl powerball,

    it dosnt have to be loud at all though

    This will by my first build

    Also im in the uk
    Ibanez RG470XL EMG-81 in the bridge
    Peavey 6505
    Marshall 4x12 cab
    Art 2000 express

    Check out the SLOClone forum for boards/schems/layout of the Soldano SLO. You won't find a kit, but you will find a weld documented and supported high gain amp. There are also schems and builds of other high gain amps that people have successfully built. I'm currently working on a VHT Deliverance from a schem I found there

            AX84 has some great high gain projects, check this out

            its John Hynes Lead II preamp, there are several power amps too

              If memory serves Weber had a kit similar to the SLO, I believe it was his Heather kit.
