    In a layout diagram (not a schematic), what does a dashed line represent? My guess is that it is a lead (wire) connection on the underside of the board, as opposed to the top, but I want to be sure.

    Is it an old(er) Fender layout? They show the wires under the board as dashed lines.

      Yes, exactly, old Fenders. Thanks very much for the confirmation. Do layouts for other brands (particularly Vox) use a dashed line to indicate something else?

        sometimes to show that things separate on the schemo are part of the same unit, eg a multipole switch. Sometimes to enclose all the parts that are on one board.
