Madamp A15mk2 Q?

i ordered one today and i just realized its going to have a 220/240v PT. I don't have it yet but when I get it can I just substitute the 220v/240v with a 120v PT with out a ton of trouble? Do they usually have the same specs short of the input voltage? i assume the fuse values will be different. I haven't received the schematics yet so i cant say whether or not the PT has 120V taps.

i have some electronics experience, but not a ton, I've built a few pedals, etched some pcbs, and can read Schematics. This will be my first amp kit build any tips for stuff i should read up on, especially safety.

I can't tell from the pictures but Email them and ask if the PT has a split primary where it actually uses two 120v windings in series to get 220v.
If so, the primary current is fairly constant in the winding wires so you might be able to fold the two 120v in parallel and run the primary at 120v.
However, some trannys are made with the primary winding using "taps".
100v, 120v, 180v, 220v, and 240v... etc.
I think this is a type of an auto transformer.
It could be that type too.

Yeah, I think the 260E would be a good one to start with.
Depending on what rectifier you use, that will give you about a 300vdc-340vdc B+ rail.
Should be fine for a few 12AX7s and a couple EL84s.

I just realized this is a 2x6V6 amp...
I would only use a full wave solid state rectifier with a pair of 6V6s and that 260E PT... again, I just looked and it looks like the kit does use a FW SS rectifier.

so would i have to change any other components besides bias and fuses?
