  • question fo bruce at MA

hello,i was hoping bruce at mission amps might be able to answer some questions for me or anyone else for that matter.i have a layout diagram for a mission amps Tweedy deluxe 5E3A.on the diagram there are 2 switchs one called a 'trick switch' and another called a 'split plate load switch'.
what exactly do these switchs do ?

also there is a 15 volt 5W zenor diode attached to the negative side of the main filter capacitor, what does that do ?

anyway hoping someone can help me

    cheers

hey k, bruce will be with you shortly. anyway the zener diode keeps the b+ voltage steady at just the right amount, the thick switch probably just kicks the tone cap in and out. older fenders have a bright switch that does the same thing. im not sure about the other switch. bruce will help you with that.
