5E3 PI voltages

Hi, Still trying to trouble-shoot my somewhat quiet 5e3. Plate voltages on v1 seem ok 120v with 12ay7 (cathode:2v).

PI side of V2 seems off:
pin 6 193v
pin 8 49v

putting in a different 12ax7 got
pin 6 204v
pin 8 52v

pin 1 v2 seems ok at 165.7

Are those PI numbers a problem?

5E3 PI Voltages

In my 5E3 clone I get 155 volts on pin 6 and (I think) about 50 volts on pin 8 for the PI tube.

I'm getting 140 volts on pin 1 of the PI tube.

While your voltages are higher than mine, I don't think that it is your problem wrt a quiet amp. I get about 350 volts on the plates of the power tubes so my amp seems to be on the low side wrt voltages.

It's confusing. The amp sounds good and I can't find anything wrong- it's just with speaker and cab a constant, this 5e3 (which seems to be running at 15watts) is absolutely no louder than my 5f2.

Maybe it's my hearing thats broken
