  • Voltages ok??

    I haven't seen any voltage charts around for the 5E3 which is odd as it's such a popular build. I'm sure there out there somewhere, maybe someone can direct me to a link?

    Just wondering how mine look compared to the average??
    I'm using the Weber W025130 PT utilizing the brown wire as my house voltage sits at 120.
    Pumping into a NOS Raytheon 5Y3.

    B+ is 360V coming of the rectifier.

    JJ 6V6's...
    Plates are both 355V, grid is 330V & cathode is 21V

    V2 JJ 12AX7
    1=160V
    3=1.18V
    6=196V
    8=48V

    V1 EH 12AY7
    1=125V
    3=1.90V
    6=128V

    Thanks!

      Thanks Bruce

      I just swapped out the Weber W041318 OT with the Heyboer HY041318 & noticed a slight voltage drop in the power section.
      I now have 356V B+ & 344V on the 6V6 Plates. Is this still in line? The other end of the circuit hasn't changed much. (which confuses me)

      Cheers

        With a real NOS 5Y3GT, those are still looking good to me.
