Fired up my Mission 5E3 tonight for the first time and this is my first build as well. This is one nice sounding amp! No blue smoke, no buzz or hum. Im amazed at the range of tones I can get tweakin the volume and tone on this thing. My strat sounds just wicked now and my ES-335 is just plain beautiful sounding. Think my Blues Deluxe RI will be getting sold soon this 5e3 is just head and shoulders above it. This was well worth the time and effort. Oh and thanks for the info and advice I have gotten here sure made things go smooth.

What speaker did you end-up using? -
Right now it a Jensen C12Q, but I have a Weber Sig 12A Ill be testing out as well.Comment

My weber kit came with that C12Q, but I found it too harsh.
Tried a few others in my Tweedies (including a Celestion Blue...one of my Tweedies still uses one).
For mor practical (and power-handling) reasons, I'm now using a Mojo BV-30V
which Bruce now recommends for his Tweedies. Good price and good sound.Comment
