Hello from a first timer!

Hi folks,

I am setting out to build my first amp kit, a 5e3 tweed. Does anyone know of a build -along pictorial or dvd for a basic 5e3?

I hear there are many variations but the basic setup would be just fine.
I do better with pictures ("worth a thousand words" kind of thing) so actual photos (not schematic or layouts) of grounding schemes, wiring of input jacks, etc. would be of great help to me.

I have J. Darr's book and D. Hunters book for starters before jumping in.

Some of the other things I've tried building (acoustic guitar, fly fishing rods, etc) have pretty good step by step pictorial build-alongs or dvd that are a great help.
If you know of any sites or DVDs I sure like to hear from you.

Also, I'm sure I'll be trying to learn as much as I can about this from all of you.

I've been playing guitar for many years and now I've learned how a volume and tone knob actually work!

You would do well to check out Mission Amps 5E3 kit. Bruce Collins is a good guy and has forgotten more than many amp guys will ever know. His 5E3 kit also has some options you can make good use of depending on what you want to do. Good luck, Jim
