  • building a 5f2a. 2 practical questions

    hi guys!
i have a couple of question:

    - ) i'm building a 5f2-a and i ordered 3 mono jacks. (2 contacts)
i need to place the 1M resistor on the second jack socket but i can't
understand how to place it. can someone help me?

--) my second question is about the brass grounding plate.
(i ordered the chassis kit from Weber)
i understood that brass plate is a big grounding star.you solder grounding
points to the brass plate and the plate is connected to the whole chassis by
    the pots' necks and jacks'.
    is it correct?

    thanks guys

Go to post four of this thread to see bruce's diagram...

On 2, yes, it's basically a big spot to ground everything and it's held in place by the jacks and pots. (It'll take a more powerful than normal soldering iron to tag them onto the brass.) Brass plate is not mandatory.
