  • OT impedence

Can someone refresh my memory on primary impedance.
I have a Hammond 125ese and want to try some different impedences.
I remember reading that it will affect the sound.

    Thanks Brian

For a single-ended amp, the primary impedance should take into account the output tube specs, e.g, for a typical 6V6GT in single ended configuration, the load resistance should be between 8k2-8k5 at 315V. (See attached example)

Is that what you were meaning?

(Of course, whether you load up the secondaries properly or not will also affect the load that the tube sees via the primary)
