It seems tho that most of the DClass's I have run into seem to have output stage issues. Again, I guess I have to adapt my attitude towards these things and search the forum to see what others are doing (;- ). Glen

One of the biggest challenges with class D amp repair is that it's a fast evolving field, with a short part life cycle - I regularly find that by the time something ends up on my bench, the parts are EOL and no longer available, be it drivers and/or output fets. I'm hoping that at some point the dust will begin to settle and we'll see parts with a longer product cycle. Class D is the future and the repair field will die if we can't service them.
But more and more often everything is ICEpower these days, it's a challenge enough for us repair techs to keep up, but the design teams can't either. If GK, Fender, JBL, RCF or whoever just want clean power, they turn to B&O for a module and stick a preamp in front. This way they can skip design of the whole poweramp and powersupply.
