Late to the discussion but from what I see from various posts, I STRONGLY suspect that poor Plexi is working unloaded.

Probably damaged Power Station or some wiring problem, external (cable feeding speaker into it) or internal: something open in the internal load, be it reactive or not, or even the bypass switch or it's wiring.

Old Ultimate Attenuator (those poorly built in Canada by a Chinese guy if I remember right) consisted of:

* Input jack

* Resistive load, supposedly "one size fits all" **30 ohm** finned aluminum case resistor.
Not kidding, same non adjustable resistor for any impedance between 4 and 16 ohm

* Wirewound volume pot (500 ohm?)

* 50-100W? power amp, boasting 2 mystery TO 247 transistors (bipolar-Mosfet?) driving speaker out.

Of course, with its own power supply.

Everything clumsily thrown together inside a generic metal box.

Why do I mention it ?
Because I suspect Power Station is the same thing, only well made, using a Reactive load (similar to the R Aiken one?), a better power amp and supply and properly housed, plus a couple bells and whistles.

For testing I would connect a 16 to 30 ohm power resistor across amp speaker out _plus_ Power Station, as-is.
Suspect it will work fine.

IF so, open PS and check reactive load, which I _suspect_ will be similar to R Aiken's or at least an inductor in series with a power resistor.
Any of which (or wiring/switch) may be open.

Yep, I opened the power station and found the pic below. Internal load was around 900ohms, and after I repaired the burnt wire it's showing 16ohms. It appears it was either a poor solder job, or had gotten wet as the connection is covered in corrosion. The rest of the solders are perfect.. kind of odd. Now I get to closely watch this OT to see if it's damaged.

Such a FOCUSED corrosión while everything else is perfect stinks of rat pee.

Or that wire is exactly under a ventilation slot and a cat peed through it.

Rain water is not corrosive at all; beer or specially Coke leave sugary residue behind which can carbonize at high temperature , but a low resistance wire will not become *that* hot.

Coke or beer can wreak havoc on a PCB, sockets, switches, and specially inside pots with their delicate carbon tracks.

Salt water, sea spray near a beach is DEADLY.
