  • Line 6 spider 3 iv 30

Hi folks I’ve got a line 6 spider 3 I got it given and no suprise it’s not working . When powered on I can here the speaker pop so it’s getting power but no sound or no lights no nothing I’ve tried various power leads and fuses still no joy I’ve had a look around the various line 6 posts but can’t find any identical problems or fixes . I’m new to this site and it seems great so thanks for having me and thanks in advance if this is in the wrong place then I apologise

I believe this is the schematic, but you'll have to verify (see link below). The site won't let me upload right now, but this link should work. I'd first check all power supplies and make sure they are working. These amps often have failures of the 5V regulator, so especially check that the regulator is putting out 5V. The regulators run extremely hot and it's a good idea to add extra heat sinking to them. Also, if that is the problem, replace with the higher current 7805CV 1.5A regulator or similar. Many 7805's are only rated at 1A.

It uses proprietory software and if a global reset doesn't boot it up, return it to Line 6 for service.
Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
If you can't fix it, I probably can.
