BBE B-Max input mod?

Hi all,
I have a good customer that just brought a BBE Bmax bass preamp by the shop this evening...it's an older one that hasn't had the input mod done to it...his bass is an active PU bass which severely overdrives the front end of this pre. I did one of these back a couple of years ago (the input mod) and had the procedure on my computer but I can't find it anywhere. He'd really like to have this to lay tomorrow night....does anyone have the mod they pass along to me...otherwise I'll have to wait to wait until Monday when BBE opens up to get the info from them...
He'd be a really happy camper if I can get this done for him.

So wire up a simple resistor pad at the input until you can get the official deal. A basic 2/1 voltage divider is a 6db reduction.

I thought of that but it would have to an external setup...the way it's setup internally, there isn't and easy way to do it...I thought of making up a patchcord with a pad in the jack part of the cord...

Not familiar with it, but some thoughts.

First, the pad is two resistors, all I have in my head is the exact circuit as Fender has used for half a century with the two input jacks - a 2/1 voltage divider. if there is a series resistor at the input. add one to ground from the inner end. Change values if you have to. Or lift a series element in the air to allow a couople resistors to be tacked in.

If the jack is not very acessible, sometimes there is room to demount the jack and put it back in upside down. The but holds it in place, and now the legs are sticking up to solder stuff or wires to. or a different type jack can be put in for this. Run short wires down to the circuit board pads. Redo it later properly.

And certainly there is room for two small resistors inside a plug/jack on a patch cord. I made a variable one ponce for someone. I used a #70 plug - the fat one - and mounted a little trimmer pot inside. Drilled a small screwdriver access hole in the shell wall .

Hello all - this isn't particularly relevant but if anyone has no output on a BBE Bmax-T try replacing the tube/valve...12ax7; it worked for me.
Just be careful not to break the socket as the one on mine was tight...!
