  • Will I find this fuse @ Radio Shack?

    Have Fender Pro Twin:

1 power tube went bad, so I replaced all 4.

Still have red light for v10/v12 trouble. Need to replace (1) F1 & F2: T100mA fuse I'm assuming. I have a R. Shack close by - will this suffice for the fuse?

    Have a good day.
    Steve

    Hi Just Believe..

From here in Australia it doesn't look like Radio Shack have T 100mA fuses.
Their range only seems to go to 500mA.
The equivalent here in Aust is Tandy now tied in with Woolworth's and Dick Smith I gather. They only have blade type fuses.
Any supplier's fuse should be ok although I have often wondered if anyone has done a fuse shoot out or should that be .."fuse meltdown".
Take a bunch of different brand fuses and in a controlled environment increase the current till they blow and note the results..
Some fuses seem shoddily made ie the metal ends become unattached but this seems the exception rather than the rule.
The local electronics spare shop here carries "Siba" European ,possibly German which I have no problem with.
I guess you may as well order a pack of ten from a mail order place and as they sometimes say here "keep some for Ron" (later on) !

My R. Shack here as well does not carry this fuse. Had to track it down at 3rd elec. supply store I contacted.

You need to either order it from someone like Mouser or find an electronics parts store in your area. Radio Shack is an electronics part store the same way 7/11 is a grocery store.

That would not be a common size for a consumer goods store to carry.

A milliamp is 1/1000 of an amp.

100ma is 1/10 of an amp. So like Bill said...

It takes 1000ma to make an amp.
