Should the breaker switch on a Leslie 825 preamp only pop up once there is an overload? I still have power to the unit, the power light is on, but neither the power switch or the circuit breaker show any power when tested with my multi. I just have a feeling the breaker switch is broken, but not knowing how they are supposed to work makes it difficult, are they supposed to be spring loaded all the time?

You won't read any voltage across the terminals of either the power switch or the fuse/circuit breaker when they are closed, any more than you would expect to read a voltage from one end of a wire to the other. The closed switch or breaker is in essence a short circuit. Does the light go on and off with the power switch? That should be proof enough that the switch is working, and probably the breaker too. Fight the real enemy... what exactly is this Leslie doing, or not doing that makes you suspect the switch and/or breaker?

Thanks for the tips Rick, the rotor is not spinning and the breaker switch on inspection seems broken. The on / off switch works as it should, so I guess I'll dig a little deeper tonight.
