Crate fxt120 - smoking transformer & loud hum

I have my nephew's crate combo amp that hums real loud as soon you power it on and then after about 20-30 seconds the transformer begins to over heat. Where do I start on this one? Suggestions?

Disconnect the speaker so you don;t burn it out.

Your output stage is blown and needs to be rebuilt. That means shorted power semiconductors at the very least.

Sounds like more than just swapping out a power supply. I'll take the amp in for repair! Thanks!
