super reverb reverb too loud!!

I have a blackface super reverb that I play out with bi-monthly.
When I turn up the reverb the amp gets really loud there is also
a hum in the backround but the amp gets really loud with massive gain
if I turn down the knob no noise and no overt gain problem
Reverb tube? 7025?

Be sure the 3rd tube from the right, looking at the back, is a 12AT7 and the
4th tube is a 7025 followed by a 12AX7 then a 12AT7. Swap some tubes with known new tubes. You may have to go thru a few to find a good one.

thanks I was thinking it's probably a tube.I just had the amp completely gone through,6 years ago
