  • Fender Stage 112 Reverb doesnt work??

Thanks for reading my post. I have a Fender Stage 112, Transistor not tubed. The reverb doesnt work at all. I swapped out the can from a known good one, though much larger, thought it might give me something. Any thoughts what to look for or common problems. The board looks clean from burns. I just found the schematic thru this site. I would appreciate any help in the diagnosis.

    Thanks Mark

Well you could use a meter to check continuity for the reverb pan wires from the phono ends to the board connections to start. Be aware that not all reverb pans have the same impedance (resistances) for the input and output transformers. You need the correct one for your amp. You could check the resistance of the pans in and out and compare it to the expected values for you pan model number to rule it out.

Go to the accutronics site and pick out your pan's type (4,8,9 etc) then look up each character to get the values. For instance, if it is an 8EB2C1B it would have an 800 ohm input, a 2575 ohm output, a medium decay time, input insulated/output grounded setup, No lock, and should be mounted horizontally with the open side down.

Once the pan is eliminated as a problem, you can move on from there.
