  • Fender SS amp no sound

Hey guy's I need some help here. I just received several Fender Rumble 100 bass amps. All are in different states of disarray. I can do all of the physical repair but I am a little stumped on some of the electronics diagnosis and repair. I have one that looks great, powers up, but no sound. Speaker is good / connected / fuse etc is all fine. I do get slight output from the headphone jack but it seems minimal. I cannot even find a schematic for these amps and I really don’t know where to start. ANY help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Hi, have you tried patching the effects loop, i.e. pluging a lead between the send and return?

Is this the schem u need?

That schematic is for the Fender Rumble Bass (not the Rumble 100)
The Rumble Bass is a tube amp and these are SS.
I have not tried patching the effects loop. I will do that today. What will that tell me? (if it works)
Please excuse me if I am slow today. been up since 4:00am!

It would tell you that the contacts on the jack sockets need either cleaning or re-tensioning. If that doesn't work narrow down the problem area plug a lead into the effects send and from there into another amp. Do you get sound now? If not you have a prob with the pre amp. If you do get sound then the prob is in the power amp.

        Dave.
