Hey all!
I got a V4 in from a friend and he is quite a "vintage freak"; I HAVE to use dedicated parts from his origin to repair / maintain his V4......
So he ordered a recap kit from Fliptops.net for this V4. I got it in and I can't see the order........
What they've send me:
- One JJ 100uF / 100uF can cap
- One JJ 50uF / 50uF can cap
- One 40 / 40 / 40 uF can cap
- One 100uF axial cap.
Both the JJ as the 40 can caps share the same minus.
I can't use the 100uF can caps for the bleeder resistors (100k) as they share one minus. Same with the 50 can cap for the screen voltage........ what to do? How to set this up? Am I overlooking a part of this puzzle????
My idea this evening:
I can use the single 100uF axial cap w/ the can cap and have one left......... then what? Add the 50's in serie to the 100 to make a 33uF cap? Add the 50's in parallel to the 100 in series to gave a 50uF cap?
Thanks!
(my own V4 has a small turrent board on the side of the amp (more then enough room for this in the amp) with simple, cheap and good caps )
