Hums when switched on, altering controls has no affect

SUper loud hum? If so, does the speaker cone move one way and stay there? That would indicate DC on the output, a sure sign of a blown power amp.
Otherwise, start with power supply. Check the main power rails and the low voltage (+/-15v) rails to make sure they are up to voltage and free of ripple.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned. -

looks like it's the power amp. I am looking to upgrade bass amp do you know of a reliable make that is around 70W and light weight?Comment
