Good book on solid-state troubleshooting and repair
Well, thanks for the tip on Thriftbooks.com, Euthymia! I snagged a copy of The Art of Electronics by Horowitz on there for $28. I've been wanting to get that book for 30 years, but couldn't stomach the price, till today!
I'm bumping this thread because I just saw that there's about half a dozen copies of this great book again available for under $5 on Amazon, and then another half a dozen for under $10. Anybody who wanted one and missed out should jump on it.

I'm going to bump this thread back up, I managed to finally get a copy to add to my library, and yes it appears to be a very good text.
For the many folks who post on here saying "help my Belchmaster isn't working, tell me what part to replace to fix it--but oh I don't know anything about electronics..." this may be helpful to them. IF they are willing to read it, work out the circuits, and learn.
