      I had identical symptoms on my Peavey KB-100 keyboard amp. I checked and the solder on the filter caps was cracked. I just resoldered them now, and it works. Much thanks to this thread; You saved my amp.

        Hi All

        This is the first forum I've ever joined! (3 years too late) I did because I'm in exactly the same spot.
        I resoldered the caps as was advised and I too passed the 3 hour rehearsal, however after a quick journey home in the boot of my car the amp made no sound at all.
        I've bought two 4700uf 63v Electrolytic caps from eBay (£5 delivered) and plan to replace them. I'll tell you how they hold up after a 3 hour/journey in the boot.

        These caps must be prone to vibrations/movement so any further advice on glue/splurge to hold them steady?
