Vox Valvetronix - How the F*** do I get this thing apart?

Anyone know how to get the back panel off the small valvetronix off?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It wont turn on, the fuse is fine, and there's something that rattles and clanks inside of it. Unscrewed all the obvious screws and the panel doesn't want to come off...

If all the screws are out, then it is probably stuck. SOmetimes the two tolex surfaces bind. Sometimes the wood swells. Sometimes a little tacky glue is exposed and sticks the parts together. WHo knows. Start prying.

Which one you have?

I own an AD120VT and have to say they sound great ( as long as they work ).

Like Enzo, I've learned to hate them when it comes to work on their innards.

Well thanks for the replies guys, though i was hoping for more uplifting news. Its an AD15VT, and we've also got an AD50VT, they sound great, but yeah, i'm praying that i never have this problem with the 50 . So by 'prying', you're talking about the back panel right, the one with all the screws on it? Just pull it clean off? Should i start from the top? I'd like to avoid breaking it.

Its a flat piece of wood, and it is stuck. All screws out, then pry as gently and firmly at whatever corner you can get behind.

Got a rubber mallet? Whack it about the edges a few times, might loosen it up a bit.

His problem is that he can't get past step #1. After removing all the screws, the rear panel doesn;t just fall out. it is stuck. SO I'd get a screwdriver in between the chasis and the top edge, and start wedging it out.

Does that cab have screws on the sides, close to the back panel? Loosen those too.
