  • Music man circuit breaker

Asked this before and will try again. Music man 65-130. Has a little glass circuit breaker that goes on and off. I wired around it like was suggested and the power transformer started smoking. Now I could use a good idea. Anyone have one.
    thanks

    Bad transformer?

What was the amp doing? Why did you need to bypass the breaker?

Something in the amp has shorted out. Possibly a main rectifier. But by completely bypassing the breaker and making the transformer smoke, there's a good chance you've damaged the transformer now. I'd find an amp repair shop and take it in.

        humming

Humming loudly and blowing out the circuit breaker.
I have replaced all diodes on rectifier and cb still blows.
        Thanks to all.
I will die at the bench before I take it to someone else.

Disconnect all secondary wires and insulate them so they can't short to anything or each other. Put in a new fuse, plug it back in, turn it on. Same thing happen? If so, replace the tranny.
