This amp has a very noisy reverb circuit. I checked the op-amp right after the reverb return and found it has -9.75V on all pins but the voltage supplies and pin 2 I believe. Anyways I figured the problem is the chip and I am trying to find a new one but have had no luck. The chip is m5201 and it's not on digikey, mouser, national, or anywhere else. I also contacted Marshall to no avail. Does anyone know where I can get this chip or a suitable replacement?

    Hi Lowell,
Don't know where you are in the world but I know that little diode has them http://www.littlediode.com I find they're good for hard to find parts. As are Cricklewood electronics. http://www.cricklewoodelectronics.co...ewood/home.php

The 2120 or 4558 should work in there as well if you can get those ffrom your usual supplier.

    Dave.

The 5201 is a switch, not a simple dual op amp. A 4558 will not replace it.

Lowell, do a search on this forum, we just had a discussion fo where to find them.

I don;t know about Marshall itself, but any Marshall dealer can order them. Certainly Korg in New York will send them if you are a Marshall service center in the USA. www.marshallparts.com has them for $5. And I think www.bdent.com had them as well.
