  • Peavey 5150 problem

Okay so i replaces all the tubes (power and pre) about 4 months ago and the amp has been sounding great. My band tours and last show of the tour my amp was sounding great as always. Then about a week later we bring the trailer to the studio and unload the gear. I set my amp up the same as always and the dirty channel sounds like ass. No lows or mids and the amp isnt loud. What is wrong?

    Thanks for your time

HArd to say. Open the 12AX7 hatch, and sub a new 12AX7 into each socket, one by one, to see if a tube failed or if a socket lost contact.

Beyond that, something for your tech to sort out - open plate resistor on a tube stage, who knows.

Dirty loop jacks. Turn the loop off with the footswitch and see if it makes a difference.
