7 pin midi

Hi,
I have a Carvin Quad X preamp that I am selling. ($375 if anyone is interested)

The Quad has MIDI, but it has a 7 pin connector.

Does anyone know if I can get an adapter or mod this to 5 pin easily??

How can I make it work with a GCX switcher or something similar.

I'm just guessing, but I suspect you could just use an ordinary five-pin cable to connect it to anything that doesn't need the power carried on pins six and seven.
