Basically any generic transformer with 30+30VAC secondaries (or 60VAC center tapped) and power capacity between 120VA and 160VA will work there.

Some of the earlier versions had a separate winding 36vctAC for the preamp voltages. so some modification would need to be made if the replacement has only power amp windings.

You are right.
I had looked at the main supply and power amp chassis and it only shows the main rails, thought preamps used dropper resistors and zeners , but no, they house the whole supply, including the bridge rectifiers there.
I stand corrected.

That said, the amp can be modified, specially the Mini Brute which seems to have only a couple ICs, so low current requirements.

Ok, consider it a "Plan B"
