The original uses 2 x 40uF/70uF caps, each wired in parallel with itself (110uF), with a 100K shunt resistor....and then both multi-section caps are wired in series, for one big 55uF@900V capacitor section.
will this work as a replacement?
1 x 100uF/100uF@500V cap, and one 50uF/50uF@500V cap...one section of the 100uF in series with the paralleled 50/50 (100) for a total of 50uF@1000V. The other 100uF section would be used in series with a 22uF@500V cap (18uF/1000V) to supply the power tube screens.
If this will work, are the same 100K shunt resistors used, or are different values necessary?
