  • Princeton Reverb II switching

Hello, does anyone know if the "Lead Level" master pot is supposed to be engaged without the footswitch?
With the footswitch it works as does the lead channel, but it's not engaged without the footswitch.
Just trying to figure out how it's supposed to work.
    Thanks.

There are cutout contacts on the footswithc jack. If they do not close when there if no FS plugged in, then the thing won;t work. And of course, the pull switch itself could be bad.

The LDR completes the pot circuit to ground. WIthout it, the pot does nothing. Follow the 270 ohm resistor from the LDR down to the jack and pull switch. I bet something in there is open. Verify the switch with an ohm meter, adn also verify the cutout contacts on that jack with a meter.

Thanks Enzo, also for the schematic.
That's what I figured, pull switch is good, jack looks like it needs a cleaning, but it's not grounding w/o footswitch. Looks like it was wired wrong from the factory.
