    Thanks for the valuable information.

Okay, I printed out your notes and got set up ready to go down the line with each step. The first thing I wanted to do is test the ceramic fuses. I tested the one in back on the chassis for continuity and it was fine; however, the 8 amp one on the power board failed. (Fingers crossed) I hope that is the extent of the problem.

Question: There are MOLEX connectors all over the place. When hard wiring the board, should I only be concerned with the 8 pin power board connector?

There is the 8 position with the gray cable that connects the pwr amp board to the preamp board. Thats the only one you need to be concerned with. And even then only the heater wires on that ribbon connector need to be hardwired. They are positions 7 and 8 IIRC. Yer meter will tell you that tho....

Hi Aaron, I responded in the other place you posted this. But I also suggested you start a new thread for your amp. This thread is been dead for two years now.

Plug a cord from FX send to FX return and see if that wakes the amp up.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

There is an 8-pin ribbon cable from the preamp tube board to the power amp tube board. The two pins on ine end are the heater connections sending the heater supply from the preamp board to the power tube board. I'd bet my lunch money that on one end or the other of that ribbon cable there is a burnt pin or pins. SImply repairing that connector or just soldering wires in its place should solve the problem.
Thanks for the great directions Enzo, this was exactly my problem and with your wonderful description I was able to locate it in about 10 seconds and fix it and get back to rocking. \\m// >..< \\m//
