  • Fender Studio Lead spares

hello to everyone, just found the forum - looks great - i've tried searching but need some help!.

I have a Fender Studio Lead amp - the problem is the Bass tone control is broken - the spindle just spins.

i've removed the pcb mounted potentiometer (unfortunately breaking the knob too!) but the problem i have is finding the correct replacement parts anywhere online.

i have looked on my schematics and know the part is:

50 kOhm Audio Taper pcb mount potentiometer (D-Shaft) , part # 019710 and the knob is part # 019798

problem is, i cannot seem to find these parts anywhere online - i hope someone can help

The pot looks like an Alpha, but I looked at Mouser and didn't see a match with that shaft. You can go to .:: FenderŪ.com ::. and search for electronic service centers by state. Then call them and see if they have the part and will sell it to you or will order it. Some will, some won't.

You can also call Parts is Parts (Fender Stratocaster Parts,Fender Telecaster Parts,Fender Bass Parts,Marshall Amp Parts, Guitar and Amplifier parts,Gretsch Guitar Parts,Gibson Guitar Parts, Hofner Bass Parts. Parts is Parts has more Guitar parts and amp parts.) at 1-800-590-0014. They have been pretty good for me at getting small orders of parts from Fender. You're already most of the way there if you have part numbers.

          Vim,
Sorry you feel that way, I've always enjoyed the UK, but just as a visitor. Anyway, try an email to them, it's much easier now with email, credit cards and cheap international calling to get parts. I remember buying a Matchless motorcylce seat cover from England with a postal money order.
