    If you need to use the amp there is some stuff that every old TV shop has to stop CRT anode arcing. It's called anode dope and it is usually red. It is kind of like thick paint. Any electronic supply will have a small bottle with a brush for about $3. It isn't a pretty fix but might make it functional until the parts come in or you have time.

      Sounds like Glyptal 1201. I always liked its alternate name, corona dope-which a lot of people sell.

        That's it. Good old Corona Dope. Fiberglass brush, alcohol wash, apply dope. Ugly but functional.
