looking for some place to start on finding the problem with this amp . As soon as you turn this amp on the reset B switch trips . I swapped the tranformers and the problen still stays on the same same side . Doing a voltage measurment on the transformer out is 100 v P-P on both . If I disconnect the transformer wirs the breaker does not trip which i suspected. Can some one give me some basic resistance checks to start with ??

You have a blown channel. Start checking the output transistors for ones that are shorted. On the rear panel, measure resistance between the black and red terminal posts. if one or the other set is shorted together, you found the bad channel.

Enzo You were dead on . Two of the power transistors were defective . I replace them all and the amp is humming like a bird .

It's almost like I've done this before....

Glad you got it running. That amp should last forever.
