  • bugera 333xl back with new info

so, in an old thread i had decribed how my bugera 333xl combo had blown the fuse and the power tubes were trashed. after a freakin' month my tech gave me a call and told me that the capacitor or condenser (not sure about the word in english) had also been trashed and that made me start worrying about further troubles with the amp. i m definately no tech with amps, so i would ask what you guys think about it. could the problem need more parts replaced other than the capacitor and the power tubes, in order to be fixed?

Depends on which capacitor has blown... on the circuit or in the power supply... and how the failure originates (did the cap fail first oder the power tube?) but a failing power tube can take out the output transformer as well. I would also check grid and screen resistors as well as they can also be a root cause for a failure or getting damaged during the fail of the tube...

I can fix everything, where is the duct tape?

i think the whole story started with the power tubes, but the real problem started with a wrong fuse replacement which made a flash shortly after the amp powered up, then no sound.
