  • Marshall TSL122 Re-Cap

    Guys,

I have a TSL122 that needs a cap job but I cant seem to readily locate axial leaded capacitors in the normal brands - IC, Sprague etc.

Does anyone know of a good place to source the parts?

The power supply is blowing the mains fuse and the two 330uf 315v caps are bulging out and no longer have magic smoke inside them so I am just going to re-cap the amp while I have this piece of crap taken apart.

I searched threads for tsl122 capacitor replacement stuff but came up empty.

For whats its worth - I'd fire all of Marshalls mechanical engineers. This amp is a total bucket of poop to work on.

Most places that sell tubes also sell amp-related caps.

I found axial 450v caps at Mouser, but for general amp work, start with

Thanks for the reply Enzo, but I had axial on the brain but I meant to say radial leaded caps...

        Mouser stock 647-UVR2F331MRD

        330uf 315v radial Nichicon $3.88

        Nothing wrong with that.

Instead of searching for TSL122 caps, I might search for radial caps - doesn't matter what amp they go in.
