I've got a Workingman's 10 with a strange problem: When first turned on, it'll work for about 10-20 seconds, then slowly fade out and die. Usually there's a little high-to-low pitched whine as it goes. The LED goes down with it.
Checking voltages, the positive and negative rails start out at the right voltage (~41v + and -), but then the positive rail starts sagging and the negative rail rises.
Does this sound like something that the TDA7294 could cause, or is it something else? I've never heard of a bridge rectifier doing something like this. I would think if it were one of the (big) filter caps, that it would just hum and not have the time delay. The amp plays fine for those first few seconds.
Any ideas?
Eric.
