  • M-80 fade out

    Hello all,
I would like to fix my fender M-80. When I play through it the sound comes through ok for a little while and then suddenly fades away. I have looked at the circuit board and the area around the parts CR25 and CR26 has definitely overheated. The model is a tube emulation. When it was going it produced a beautiful tone and would really like to fix it. Can anyone help please?

CLean the loop jacks first. Stick a short cable from the efx send to the efx return. Play ok now? Then the jacks need to be cleaned and/or resoldered.

If thats not the case those zeners that you referenced may have partially desoldered themselves from the board. Just remove the old solder and redo the joints.
