    All he means by hard wiring is to look at the traces where the parts are soldered, and add a piece of wire from the part leg itself to some nearby point beyond any trace damage. The negative legs of those caps solder to a common ground trace. Scrape away the solder mask of you need to and run a piece of solid wire from the leg of hte cap to someplace a centimeter or two away on the same trace. We just want to bridge any possible gap in the tracework.

        I resoldered the filter cap connections and the amp works great now...thanks for everyone's help...

        Now I just have to work on my soldering skills...

            If someone still needs the original filter caps Tube amp doctor TAD sells them. Snap in blue caps. Just changed them a few weeks ago. Cost about 8 euro each
