  • Bassman 10 (70?) PT question

I have salvaged a power transformer from a Fender Bassman 10. However, it appears to be the same unit used in the Bassman 70 schematic:

    http://www.schematicheaven.com/fende..._bassman70.pdf

    First:
I am confused as to the layout of the power supply, especially the two brown wires in the fixed-bias supply.
Am I correct to assume that one of the brown wires would go to the reverse-diode, and the other to ground? I ask because the fender transformers that I have experience with usually only have a single bias tap, and this has two wires.

    Second:
I want to use this transformer in possibly a 6G- type fender circuit, possibly the concert 6g12. It appears powerful, measures 388VAC across B+ lines. But I have no idea of its current handling abilities. Just wondering if anybody has that spec., or any positive experience using this type of PT.

That is the same PT used in all of the 2x6L6 ultralinear Fenders. Full wave bridge recto, UL taps, etc. It worked OK in the SR and the Fender 75 with a pile of tubes. I can't imagine that you'll even make it take a breath with a 6G anything.
I have/had several of the UL Fenders and I love 'em.
    JMO of course
